Today wasn't very interesting (haha most of my days aren't interesting at the moment), we had family over (which was very nice, we ate cake!) and I've just been surfing the internet again. When I go on vacation, I'll go cold turkey on the internet, not that I mind, no wifi equals no worries. I mean, it can be very tranquil without internet, and that's nice sometimes. Anyway, I wanted to post something about a song I just discovered, it's called Awkward and it's by San Cisco:

It's a very cute and fun clip too! I found out about it through (haha) Asos! You might know that when you select a certain clothing piece, you can see it 'live' through the catwalk option, and they play music with it. Normally I always turn the music of, cause I'm usually listening to my own music. But today I wasn't so yay! And when you download it using iTunes, you get a cute cover with it:

That's it for the music, now let's get to the Daily Find! I read this blogpost this morning about rings above the knuckle, and I had seen it before, but that post pushed me to find an above the knuckle ring myself! I checked Etsy, Asos and finally came to Fashionology.nl and found this:

Nice wooden hand huh?

It'll cost you 19 euros (without shipping costs), but it's real silver and that's a big plus for me. See, I have these rings from Asos, and I love them, but the edges are rusting! :( So silver is what I prefer now (I don't want to be mourning over a piece of jewelry again!). I'm thinking about giving it to myself as a gift because it's the end of the school year... We'll see.

Ear Jewelry

Hello again. You'll see a lot of ears in this post, whether you like it or not! Anyway, today I really felt like writing something about ears, in particular ear jewelry. I call it jewelry because there's a lot more to it besides earrings! For instance earcuffs and piercings. My ears are pierced too, I'll show you a picture:

Yes indeed, I've got 3 earstuds in both my ears. I prefer earstuds above earrings, because I think earrings look kinda weird on me (like, unnatural). I like the trend of wearing just one earring though, I just don't own appropriate earrings for that (yet). But (there's a but!), those big hoops with plastic flowers and all? No, please no! Kill it with fire!

Ahum, anyway, I like the more subtle earrings (I think that's clear now). And besides earrings, I'm also into piercings, just not too much (you should still be able to distinguish them). I came across this image (gotta love Pinterest) of a type of piercing I really like:

After a little Google session, I found out that it's called a forward helix piercing. Now I don't immediately feel the urge to actually get it, but maybe, you know, someday... What I really like about it is that you don't see a lot of people with a forward helix piercing (I have never seen someone with it) and that (again) it's really subtle.

Coming back to earstuds, I've been browsing Etsy (genius website, seriously) looking for really teeny tiny earstuds. Cause when you have three of 'em (I do), you don't want to look too blingbling, you know. And I found some awesome stuff!

I like all of them, but I'm really thinking about ordering the second ones (yes, because they're so cute and tiny!). I'll let you know if I actually do order them ;)

Asos Mini Skirt With Peplum

Like a lot of people, at first, I really disliked peplum. Like whut, accentuating your waist and hips with this weird kind of ruffles? No! But I changed my opinion about it when I came across this skirt (last Wednesday I guess, so it's not actually a find of this day, but on Wednesday, this blog didn't exist yet!), because it's just so cute! I love the fact that the peplum is placed asymmetrical, and the blue color is very appealing. This one ended up on my wishlist, of course.

This Day's Details + Daily Find

This Friday was.. pretty boring to be honest. I hadn't planned anything to do so I've just been browsing the web (this blog is actually a product of my boredom) and making sudokus (which is  quite amusing). Dressing up is a pretty remarkable act for days like these, but I managed to actually wear something decent. Herewith, a detail of my trousers (I bought them in sale yesterday, and I know it's not classy to say how much you've spend on a certain piece of clothing but let's just say I saved myself 35 euros)..:

Stripes! Yes! I've been craving for a pair of subtle striped (as in: thin stripes) trousers, and I found them at The Sting. It might not be clear on the pictures, but it's actually a coral tone. Not sure if my hunger for striped pants is satisfied now, if I stumble upon another pretty pair I might have to take them with me.
Fun fact: I walked around on my favorite fuzzy socks all day (you know, those of the antislip kind) and I only wore my All Star (yes, just my right foot) for the picture.
Aaand.. I just came up with the idea of 'Daily Find', which means I'll show my favorite 'New In' item from Asos, or just random sale finds. I always look forward to exploring the New In category at Asos which gets updated every weekday. Soo here's my Daily Find:

Asos Pointed Stud Leather Collar

Yeah, that's right, 100% real leather! Yay for that! I'm really into everything that contains spikes and I love this both edgy and kind of preppy collar. It'll cost 20,36 euros, or 15 pounds, and it's definitely on my wishlist (what would I be without Fashiolista?).

Hello there, world, and welcome to my brand new blog! I am a girl from Europe and I like to escape my daily life by exploring the amazing world of internet. Now why did I start a blog? I consider this to be my project for summer. I'll be home 5 out of 8 weeks of summervacation, and I really want to prevent myself from getting bored, because..
